Darkwind is an ever-changing text-based multi-player game that is free to play. The World of Darkwind has been under development since 1992 and is developed entirely by volunteer staff.
There are many different terrains in Darkwind, including: the frozen plains and mountains of Hyberborea, the harsh deserts of Souvrael, the sweltering jungles of Kerei and the picturesque forests of the Darkwind mainland. All this without mentioning the bustling cities that are found on each of these continents. Some other features of Darkwind include:
- Over 15 races to choose from, each with their own benefits and drawbacks.
- 12 guilds to choose from all of which have unique skills to help you advance.
- An extensive player based clan system with full-fledged clan warfare.
- Player based economy including player owned pubs, inns and more!
